Le Chameau in Colour

When it comes to wellington boot labels there's one that comes to mind instantly. Their classic Vierzonord style, the signature vert colour way and the logo... it has to be Le Chameau.

As we look towards alternating our shoe wardrobe for the Autumn season, Le Chameau have added a little spice and glow to a new collection. Launched on the 10th August and just in time for the pre-autumn weather to settle in, the women's Iris Jersey Lined Boot is distinctive from the rest of the Chameau collections. At Femme Country we got the chance to review and get the boots on ourselves!

Le Chameau Iris Boot in Rouge

Durable and lightweight they have all the personalities of Le Chameau but with an added fashion element. The Iris comes in seven sublime colours, Noir, Rose, Bleu Clair, Bleu Foncé, Vert Clair, Vert Foncé and Rouge. Can you sense the classic French heritage shining through. The innovation of the welly has since adapted into more than just a work boot and Le Chameau have catalysed this. Their boots hold an important trend quality, they are models of outdoor fashion, and when it comes to event such as Point to Point, Winter racing, The Yorkshire Show they become true icons for country wear. Le Chameau have developed this further with the introduction of the Iris boot. With seven contrasting colours they are an extension of the original boot where you are able to style your choice of colour with the activity.

Perhaps, Vert Foncé is for shooting, Rose is festival goers or Bleu Foncé is for family walks. Described as a 'rubber boot with a colourful twist inspired by nature' the Iris is named after the Greek Goddess of Rainbows and I couldn't think of a better name! We took the Iris on into the North Yorkshire walks and through the wheat fields and I cannot praise the flexibility and light weight of this boot enough... it was comfortable and breathable even in the hottest part of the day. I'm exited to see what the boot holds for my adventures in the autumn/winter months to come! In contrast to the Vierzonord, the lining of the Iris is a much thinner material allowing that breathing space for your feet and calf.

Made from Le Chameau's famous Chamolux rubber it's obvious why their collections are so loved by many and the Iris has been truly welcomed into this unique boot family. We have an exciting few seasons with this new boot and I for one am very eager to see the array of Instagram photos featuring the boot.
