After attending Cheltenham Festival: Ladies Day on Wednesday 13th I present you with all the gorgeous outfits that took to the racecourse, the fashion brands that showcased some stunning apparel and the shopping village which of course was everyones favourite space - especially for Ladies Day!
For me any Ladies Day should be entered around class, elegance and sophistication as well a day to show off some great race day styles and I have to say Cheltenham Racecourse became a catwalk space for some of the best country looks I've seen in a while. Whilst keeping busy at the betting stands I was constantly on the look out for women and girls who stood out to be the best dressed... unfortunately this is impossible as nearly everyone looked the part! Here's a few pics of some of the amazing co-ordinated outfits that caught my eyes.
For myself, I knew that a classic style partnered with a good set of brands was the way to go for the day. My usual wardrobe tends to stock true brands that have been produced and styled in Britain such as Mackenzie & George, Hicks & Brown and Holland Cooper, knowing you're wearing a British brand just makes the outfit extra special and for days like the English races it really adds to your gorgeous aesthetic.
So, from top to bottom my decision for the day was:

I wanted to create a chic look that took a dignified country look, matching the tan and beige colours in the hat, fur and the boots really added those subtle tones to the outfit that contrasted to the darker wool colours in the wrap. The Reginas have to be the most comfortable boots I've worn and for a day like the races when you're on your feet constantly (apart from dinner!) they make the perfect companion for your feet and look amazing! I mix matched my tassels against the boot wearing the chocolate tassels.
I know for any apparel from trench coats to tees I can always rely on Holland Cooper to kit me out with anything for any occasion. My tweed blazer that incorporates red and blue stripes against the olive green material brought out the real country look and has been one of my fave pieces of clothing since the very beginning and although I'm in the process of buying new HC blazers this one will never be thrown from the wardrobe. The gold buttons that support the engraved logo really give the blazer that extra shine which emphasis its worth and I love it! I always say the more buttons/studs on the sleeves or body of any blazer the better. I tired to accessorise to a minimal for the day as I knew it was going to be windy so I grabbed my beige trilby and fur scarf and left any unnecessary items such as necklaces or expensive bracelets at home.
Cheltenham's Shopping Village really had everything a girl or guy could ever wish for. With over 70 stands of everyone's favourite country brands it was hard not to buy anything. Labels featured were: HiHo Silver, Hicks & Brown, Timothy Foxx, Mackenzie & George, Guinea London, Holland Cooper, Fairfax & Favor and many more well loved brands. I managed to catch up with Jade at the HC stand about her amazing tailored coats and blazers of which she was wearing the Red Tartan Knightsbridge Coat. Her most popular piece for Cheltenham Races had to be the Limited Edition Full Length Trench Coats in Red Tartan, Houndstooth, Soft Black and Camel. Not only were they a sell out on Ladies Day but they looked beautiful and set the scene for a stylish day.
I also managed to grab myself a Mackenzie & George Marlborough Clutch in black with a gold foil personalisation. It is the most gorgeous clutch and will go well with any race day outfit at any colour or style and was a yes when I saw it. It was lovely to see the labels interacting with customers showing how British brands can truly come together in style proving the country fashion community is constantly thriving.
So if you're fancying checking out Cheltenham Festival next year I can totally recommend it but remember to at least plan your outfit a week before! I'll leave you with a few outfit portfolio styles I've created due to this years popularity and to give you a few ideas if you're stuck deciding!
